As first time home-sellers, we had long been apprehensive about the process. We are busy with our careers and we were not looking forward to the stress, disruption, and all the unforeseeable pitfalls that often come with the process. From the first meeting George, Eileen, and Laura displayed the best aspects of a family business: strong individuals with specialized skills working together as a seamless unit. Between the three of them there was no challenge too great, and no problem that couldn’t be solved.
A lot of people in the real estate business put off a pretty pushy vibe: the hard sell gets in front of the process itself and what is natively a stressful situation in the end devolves into an overall lousy experience. Not so with the Morenos. I remember one day late in the game getting off the phone with Laura and realizing that we hadn’t had one really stressful moment during the sale. And this was after the house had fallen out two weeks into escrow and had to be re-listed. Even in that bleak moment the Morenos had kept cool and confident.
Long story short: the next and final deal they helmed closed several hundred thousand over the one that had gone south. It was the best possible outcome and, honestly, Eileen and Laura didn’t seem to break a sweat.

I simply *could not* have imagined a better realtor to go through my first home-buying process with than Rochelle. I have already started recommending her to my friends and sincerely hope they choose her as their agent. Rochelle was always available to see homes with--or she made herself available. I used Jack Faulkner to sell my home in Los Angeles last summer and he was outstanding. I am a first time home seller. Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice based on the investment they make into selling the property (time and effort, not necessarily financially) and how they promote their listings. Jack Faulkner stood out as one of the most desirable agents that Los Angeles (specifically the West Hollywood, Hollywood, Los Feliz and Silver Lake Areas) has to offer. What I like about Jack is his friendly, positive, “can-do” attitude. I met with Jack at my home, (after a previous agent was unable to sell it) and it sat on the market for months with no offers. He spent hours answering my questions, providing tons of info on comps in the area, how to get multiple offers and discussing his marketing strategy to completely rebrand the property. Jack made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps many other Realtors don't. He offered invaluable staging tips, did new professional photographs, and a lot more. When I saw our listing I was blown away. His hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - my listing looked amazing and knocked out the competition. The second buyer that saw the property put in an offer. My home went under contract in two weeks after we put it on the market and after a bidding war which consisted of multiple offers. I accepted an offer well over the asking price and Jack walked me through every step of the closing process. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. I've recommended Jack Faulkner to everyone I know. He's a true professional and a genuinely nice guy. I realize it won't always be this easy to sell your home, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better Realtor.

I don’t usually write online reviews, because I don’t normally care that much, but this seemed like a good way to hopefully help out our neighborhood. When it came time to sell our home in Los Feliz/Silverlake, we started paying attention to the market to see which local brokers were working the hardest. Everywhere we looked, we saw George and Eileen’s signs, but when our neighbors across-the-street sold their home VERY quickly for WELL-over-asking price, we knew we had to give them a call. George and Eileen and Laura sat down with us at their office and explained very simply what they do best and how they would strategize to sell our house. We walked thru the house and they pointed out some spots that needed some fixing/love. They even suggested a painter/handyman they use a lot as well as one of their favorite designers, Daniella, to help us stage it. (BTW, stage your house, folks!) I gave them a list of upgrades we’d done and told them about recently landscaping the yard. The painter and Daniella got to work. Laura designed spectacular online-listings and glossy brochures for the Open House. When it came time to discuss the listing price for the house, George and Eileen suggested a number we thought was too low. My wife and I had a much higher price we wanted. They explained that we may get a higher price, but the most important thing is to get people in the door. And hopefully those folks start bidding against each other, driving the price up. Best. Call. Ever. After one or two weekends, we had a handful of great offers, well-over-asking. We closed a few weeks later with zero problems. Obviously every house is different and the market varies year by year. But George and Eileen and Laura made the process smooth and manageable. They are total pros and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

Eileen Moreno is the best of the best. She worked with us for months, and saw us through an incredibly difficult shortsale process that involved multiple lenders and tax liens. In the end, she worked a miracle and we got an amazing house for significantly less than the list price. I’m still not sure how it happened, but I know that it only happened because of Eileen. If you’ve been house hunting in Los Angeles for any amount of time, you can appreciate how impossible finding any kind of deal is. The rest of Eileen’s team is also great. When Laura saw that we were worried about the lawn at the house dying before closing (but after the original owners had moved out), she watered the lawn herself! In short, Eileen is responsive, ethical, practical, and experienced. If we ever sell this house, she’s the first one we are calling.

Relief, that is what I felt when we started working with the Morenos. We had a Silverlake house to sell–a beautiful home, but on a challenging street–and we were looking to buy in Los Feliz. We needed our Silverlake home to sell quickly, and we needed advice on what to do to the house in order to maximize its appeal. George and Eileen spent an entire afternoon with us, explaining where the housing market stood, how they planned to market our home, and what we needed to do to it going forward. Their eye for detail, and for what needed freshening and fixing was unerring. They recommended a reliable and speedy contractor whose crew did a terrific job, and at a reasonable cost. Our house looked gorgeous. Once the offers on our house started coming in–and we had something like eight offers in four days–we understood just how savvy their marketing strategy had been. But here’s the thing, if the Morenos were simply super agents, I would not be writing this letter. They are terrific people. We used the Moreno Group to sell our Los Feliz townhouse in early 2019. Having grown up in the area I had seen their signs scattered around town for years, but had never met George or Eileen. As the time approached for us to consider listing our place, I decided to drop into an open house to see if they would actually be there, ask questions, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that George was there (not some assistant), and he was very friendly and eager to answer any questions. First impressions like that are crucial. Once we decided to list with them it was clear that they were 100% committed to getting us the best price possible. It was a somewhat stressful situation (we were building a new house that wasn't quite ready and needed a leaseback), and Eileen, Laura, and George did everything they could to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. We knew from the outset that we would select The Moreno Team to sell our family owned quadraplex in Los Feliz. We met them years ago at an open house in the neighborhood and immediately knew they were the professionals we would use in Los Feliz. It took us several false starts over a few years to finally let the building go. I say this, because each time we THOUGHT we were ready to sell, they were there for us, and with patience and no pressure, let us make our decision to finally sell. When we did, they met with the 8 of us to outline their very thoughtful approach and within weeks (and guidance from the amazing Laura) helped us ready our four units for sale and it was on the market. It sold for WAY over asking in the first week. They worked with us to schedule times that were convenient for everything from inspectors to photographers to showings, no easy feat since we had renters to consider.
